A brief backstory of the game:
" The devil, enchanted by the beauty of the human Beatriz, wife of Dante, decides to capture her and hold her in the deepest level of hell, so only he and no other earthly creature will contemplate her beauty.
Dante, upon learning of his beloved's condition, cannot bear the idea of living without her. So, Dante accepts dying as a means of rescuing her and taking her to paradise with him. "
